Well, went up to the Nantahala DH this weekend. It was my fist time up there and we had a great time. I caught my first brookies. Snowed Friday night and all day on Saturday. I only landed about 5 fish on Saturday, but had a good number of strikes and early releases. Strikes were very light, a SI was a must. My buddy landed a 21 3/4 " bow, he was a monster! I got the most action on hot pink and yellow Y2K's dropped off #12 Crystal Bugger. Great time, and a great river!

Well the Hydro took a trip up to Big Laurel (a DH stream in NC) and had similar conditions. We got into Asheville around 9:30 pm Friday and the flurries were fairly heavy. By the time we got to the cabin at Wolf Laurel it was snowing really hard. Sat am we had about a foot of snow. We put the Four Runner in 4 low and crawled out of the cabin and hit the water. We fished in a steady snow four about four hours. The bite was decent considering the conditions. Yesterday was much better and we caught some great fish ,Biggest Bow was over 20". God I love North Carolina! Pics to follow.

Yeah, Saturday morning we had more than a dusting on the camper. I was surprised that we had as much action as we did. I even saw a hatch as I was removing the ice from my guides. I must say that NC does a great job on their DH's.
