My first time there (it's a long drive from Dawson County!). Didn't know a thing about the area, so just followed the path upstream a bit and then waded down.
Wide open spaces, good wading, and active fish. Caught a bunch of Browns (nothing to write home about in terms of size) but the last two were good fighting Bows.
Hard to get used to the "urban" setting (bridges, cars, and other fishermen) but all in all, a very enjoyable day to be in the water.
If I lived/worked in the area, it would be much more satisfying to wet a line there than sit bumper-to-bumper in traffic!
If anyone has some advice they are willing to share on good wading spots up or downstream from the park, it would surely be appreciated.
