NC Fishing

looking for some rivers to fish in North Carolina with good fishing and possibly camping (other than Davidson)? Anyone have any recommendations

I would try the North Mills in Henderson County, NC. This stream is open under delayed harvest regs this time of year. I have found it a really good stream this time of year. Maps and info are available from Hunter Banks Co. web site in Asheville (and no I do not work there). Also try this link (there are other streams here as well).

how far do you want to go and when are you planning on going

Well, since I gre up in hendersonville, NC (Davidson, Mills, and French Broad have been don). I recently fished the Watauga, and it was nice just didn't seem to muc harea to camp.

have you ever stayed at mortimer and fished the wilson creek basin? if you havent ..... you need to. 5-6 different streams in teh area and all with their own distinct personality and full of plenty of eager wild fishies
