Fished the Tallulah Thursday around 9:15 to 2:30 with my 13-yo and a friend of his. It was pretty slow all day but more so after noon. We caught 7 between the three of us. All were rainbows, largest around 14" was the first one.
Saw several fish (as usual for Tallulah) all day including one around 17", but they seemed to be feeding on caddis larva or something and didn't want our nightcrawlers most of the day, even when they drifted right in front of them.
I did pick a tiny caddis with a flourescent green color off the bottom of a stream rock. Tried tying several different flies on to the spin rig, still no luck.
It was still a great day on the water.
