I had a banner day on the Hooch today. After attending Easter service this morning, I headed on down to Paces for a few hours of spousal sanctioned fishing before Easter dinner (man, I love my wife!).

The water level was as low and clear as I have ever seen it. I brought 50 trout to the hand in about 3 hours! Most were 10 to 12 inch range, but I did catch a few that were pushing 14". All were fun to catch on my little 2 weight.

PS: I have a new favorite Hooch fly! I caught the vast majority of the fish on a rubber legged GRHE that I tied a few days ago. Needless to say, I will be tying a few more of those tonight while I watch the Ten Commandments. :)

I got a hall pass as well today from the wife!

And I did well too. Like you, mostly 10-12", with 3-4 12-14. Plus one very hard fighting 13-14" brown.

Struggled at first, then wnet back to an earlier fly and caught them all on it. THe Glanrose emerger I have mentioned here before. Need to post some pattern pix, but...

Wet fly, chocolate dun tail, pheasant tail body w/ red wire ribbing. single chocolate dun feather tip as wing, w/ two hackle wraps from same feather used for wing. Size 14

This pattern was given to me by an upper E TN guide/shop owner about 14 yrs ago, and continues to be a real Go-To pattern when all else fails.
