Mongolia is a right up there with Kamchatcka on my places to "visit before I am too old or croak.." Great pics..

yeah it is awesome. i lived in Hovd, and fished the Buyant and Hovd Rivers. These are out west, so they do not have Taimen. But the fish in the pictures is an Ossmon (mongol word for it anyway) they get really big too.

i am going in june because i am a teacher and this fits my schedule best, but it is not the best time to fish for Taimen.

May be headed to Kamchatka but holding off on Mongolly, too many Big strange fish there....wait that can be a good thing~

That second picture really looks like a snook. What is the name of that fish?

i only know the mongolian names for the fish there. i do know that the fish in both the pictures are the same kind of fish, Osmon, in mongolian.
