I know we have some members from the Macon area, so I'll point out the grand opening of Ocmulgee PFA on June 10. They have planned activities during the day, and our Macon friends, the Fall Line Fly Anglers, will be demo'ing fly tying and casting.
This doubles as a Kids Fishing Event, and, since it's National Fishing and Boating Week, no fishing license is required for big kids.
Now think about this.....it's a brand new, never been fished lake, with fish that haven't seen all the lures in the latest Bass Pro flyer. If you are fairly close to Hawkinsville, GA, grab your kid or borrow the neighbors' and let'em get their string stretched.
