I have been by your shop a few times, and plan on doing so again the Friday before I head over to Dukes. Do you guys sell GA fishing lic. there? I can't remember if you did or not, I think my trout permit is still good. Also, is it okay to tie flouro tipper onto a mono leader, or will I have problems with the knot slipping?

Yes, we sell licenses at our shop in Helen. You should be able to see a date on your trout license that tells you when it expires.

Among the "experts" you will find some disagreement as to whether or not you should tie fluoro to nylon. I do it all the time if I'm fishing a stream where I don't expect to hook a really big fish. Failure could certainly happen if you were into a big fish. When fishing fluoro, I try to make a habit of re-tying fluoro after landing a big fish. It's so hard it will cut into itself. It took loosing several big fish before I realized what was happening. On most north Georgia trout streams, you would likely never notice a problem but at Dukes Creek you just may tie into that big fish that will cause you to regret tying the two together.
