Dicks Creek

I fished Dicks Creek last monday and had a great day. The place was packed but it was not as trashed as everyone is making it out to be. Me and my buddy just drove a little further back to avoid the crowds of swimmers and "corn" chuckers. I ended up bringing and releasing about 20 fish to hand, with at least a dozen more getting off. Nearly all were taken on nymph patterns but a few on a dry. The biggest was about 13 or 14 inches, not bad considering the water levels are so low. Did not see another fisherman once we drove back a little further, kinda nice.

I used to fish Dicks about once a week. You're right once you get away from around the falls and the camping spots there is some pretty good fishing. There are some very large fish in there if you know where to look. I definently don't think ****'s has sunk down to the level of Rock Creek, but there are alot of people up there, and there is alot of trash in places.
