Hi Guys,
I attended the FFF SE Conclave in Callaway Gardens and was lucky enough to meet a couple of you. I got to spend a few minutes with Rocket Roy and he told me I ought to check out this website so here I am! :)
I'm always looking to learn more about casting, especially distance casting, so I'll probably be dropping in with a few questions quite often. I started fly casting last year so I'm still working out the bugs on my technique but I am improving. I noticed in another thread that the topic of vertical casting came up. I also am practicing more vertical now. Not only does it help on tracking but it helps me keep the backcast off the ground too.
I got to work with Jason Stacy this past Saturday and after watching him cast this way, I think it's a step in the right direction for me. I just need to practice, practice, practice!
For the record, I live in Sebring, Florida so I'm quite a ways down the road from most of you but I hope to make one your get togethers for some good casting fun!
