Had family stuff to do this weekend, but I managed a few hours knee deep in a stream....
I got out on on saturday and headed to my favorite stretch of Big Creek. Before anyone get's started-I was undoubtedly on public land-just took work to find it and get there. At any rate, I brought 5 fish to hand in the 10-12" range and many smaller (4-7"). All Bows, full finned and gorgeous. All released to be caught again. Every one of them taken on a deadly rig I like to think of as the spinning rig San Juan Jig. What a killer lure... I only fished an hour and a half.
Sunday I stayed close to home and fished a section of fightingtown creek. The entire creek is private water but I live right there and have permission from the other folks on the creek. In an hour's time I'd landed and released 3 BEAUTIFUL stream bred wild bows. The biggest going 10 inches, but man those fish look GOOD.
