Decided I wanted a little cooler weather so headed North. Beat most the flatlanders by being on Raven Fork early. Hooked 4 stockers and brought 3 to hand, 2 about 12". By the time I pulled out, 11:30 AM, it was taking 20-30 minutes to move about 2 miles through the teepees. I still see several of the fellows insist on dressing like the plains Indians.

A couple of friends and I are headed that way tomorrow. Thanks for the warning. We're pulling out of Clarkesville at 7:30 AM. Maybe we can miss the early traffic and fish late enough to miss the evening traffic also.

Speaking of the Ravens Fork could anyone answer a couple questions for me? At the confluence with the Straight Fork is it permissable to fish the big hole from the north side? I know some of the water is Tribal and not open but never knew precisely where. Also, are either rivers accessible upstream of that area. I'd be interested in reading about anyone who may have any experience here. Thanks and a happy 4th!
