Split grip casting rod

I just finished this casting rod for my dad, i thought i would share. Hes a big bass fisherman. hope he likes it.

I bet he is going to love it. The weight savings of the split and the no-foregrip will be obvious. Lots more sensitivity. What blank did you use? And, really nice job shaping the Exotic Burl.

Thanks GTS. It a Cabelas IM7 blank. He really like that blank, I build some for him on itbefore. This thing is very light. I plan on weighting to just to see how low it is. I think the pic seems to make the fighting butt look wavy, but its not, it must be the wood grain of the table or something. Anyway Thanks.
