Minus the reel seat, cork grip, and winding check. These are being sent straight from Struble. Here is my question they sent me two Flex Coat Wrapping Finishes. One of them is a 2 oz. bottle of Regular finish and the other is a 2 oz. bottle of Lite finish. Do I need both of these? Or will 2 oz. be enough to wrap everything on a 6'6 rod? Are they just trying to get an extra 10 bucks from me? If I do use both, which coat would go on first? Thanks for answering dumb questions.

I know I got the Lite finish, but I don't think the other was the same. I don't think it said "High Build" anywhere on it. I don't have them on me, they are at the house and I'm up at work. I'll have to check and let you know.

Let us know when you get your stuff in so we can put together a build night for the fist part of the rods. Bocephus is still waiting on his blank and I think Tony's should arrive anyday now.

Do you have a brother that went to Gainesville State College over the summer? I had a Human Comm. class with a guy whose brother started the fly fishing club at UGA. Just wondering if it was you.

I think I figured out what happened with the two finishes. I ordered a 12.95 book from flex-coat, item 336. And I think they screwed up and sent me item 326, Original "High Build" Flex Coat Wrapping Finish for 12.95. So now I have both. Which of the two do you guys recomend using? Are there any dis/advantages besides only needing one coat with the high build?

Don't have any brothers that went to Gaineville State. It may have been a brother to either Bocephus (Kyle), or UGAflyfisher (Shine). Those are the two names that come to mind.

My blank finally got here today. I'll be ready to do the grip and reel seat monday, does that work for you?

Gaines, since your building a small 3wt, i would use the lite finish. you can do more then one coat, if you want to build it up more.

Tony, Gainesbowbum, and Nate, how does the rest of this week look for all of you. I think me and Nathan are pretty flexible from the sounds of it. I'd like to get a little progress on this thing if you guys have all your stuff in. Let me know. Anyone know if Peter ever ordered his stuff?

I'm free pretty much all week after 6:45ish. But they screwed up and sent me the wrong sized reelseat and winding check, so I'm waiting on them (again).:pissed: They SAID it should be here WED. let's see if they actually send it on time. Send me a PM if yall decide on a day and time.
