Pontoon Rental?

I have been reading the discussion on pontoons with interest. Having never floated at all, I would like to "try before I buy". Is there any place one can rent the craft, or does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can ease into this area without dropping a few hundred $ to buy something I may not enjoy?
