I am planning two late Oct. trips to NC. One to Asheville, and the other to Linville. In Asheville I have 3 days that I can take day trips (have to be back in town for dinner on those nights) with a few day trips, but would love suggestions. The trip to the Linville area is because it is halfway between here and my parents in WV. My dad and I are hoping to fish a day or two while the ladies either hike along or do their own blue ridge parkway day trip. Specifically, has anyone fished the Wilson Creek area recently? I have a list of some creeks, but have never been there. I am interested primarily in mountain streams that are secluded, and am definitely not afraid of a hike. I realize this probably includes favorite spots, so send me a PM if you don't mind. We are both C&R flyfishermen, and Im lookin to break in a new 3wt!
