The jetties are loaded with bluefish, sizes from 12" to about 20". Mangroves are still there but probably not for long and all the ones I've seen are little. The occasional pompano. I haven't seen any redfish. Bonita have put in an appearance or two. Sheepshead should be showing up around any bridge pilings. I think the flounder are gone already. I hope to get in some offshore trips soon and will post results.

Do spanish mackerel really stack up on the Shalimar Bridge in the spring?

I've never seen spanish there, but I usually just fish that bridge in the fall and winter for bait and sheepies. Supposedly you can catch grouper there at times but I don't think the occasional payoff is worth the effort. There are mangroves there but on the small side. Great bait spot though with pins, pigish and squirrelfish all winter.
