Anyone happen to see Location X on TV last night. Fabulous footage of jumping tarpon on a fly. Some very unique flys too, like foam toads. Can't wait untill April.

How about that monster that hit the fly....maybe 4 feet from the boat??? Great show. That purple/black foam toad looking thing with the red tail.....I think that will work on the bass at "Location X" too ;)

Man! I'd love to take a tarpon on the fly, or any tackle for that matter. Yeah that purple foam toad was killing 'em. Wonder what the heck it was supposed to be? Guess it doesn't matter, those tarpon loved it. I liked the guide, he had that bandana on the entire time. Protection from the sun? Or to conceal his identity... Either way that was good TV, and it was an hour long. You can't beat that.

I watched last night, awesome show! At first, I thought the guide was the same guy I fish with in the Keys, Tad Burke, he wears the bandanna too, says it keeps him cooler. We call him the lebanese terrorist!, great guy. After watching Tom Rowland blow several shots, I didn`t feel so bad, I`ve made every mistake that I saw him make and then some and if you`ve never been and you get the chance to, you will too, but when it all comes together and you hook up and land a nice poon`, there ain`t nothin` like it , the most awesome fishing experience I`ve ever had!

Back home in Fl I used to jump tarpon from my kayak. Talk about waterskiing behind a fish....
