This is a fly I intended for warmwater use and has proven effective for me on bream and LMB (Largemouth Bass) so far. It is a yarn or Aztec version of the Hum Bug (Gaines Company origin) with the colors of the commercial Dixie Devil popper. A few changes should be noted to the fly material infomation since I first submitted it. I use size 8 and smaller sized hooks with appropriate size beads to match the hook and fly size. The hook I first tied the fly on is a Mustad 9672 nymph/streamer hook but a good nymph hook (not wet fly hook as I said under the hook heading) should work well. The yarn I use is three separate black yarn strands of Red Heart Acrylic, two separate yellow chartreuse (brand color is Bright Yellow) yarn strands of Needloft nylon plastic canvas, and one separate red yarn strand of Red Heart Acrylic. See link below.

I like that, but its a bit fidly to tie. i go with a chenile dragonfly nymph. no tail, just wram chenile to 1/3 behind the ey, then some whet hackle, or even soft hackle, also tie mono eyes, then fisnish with thread infront of that, sometime more chenile. takes 2 minutes to ty, and i get lots of bites. slowly sinks.

seen some maraboo patterns im gonna try soon too
