Jimmy,
I am looking for a four wt rod for fishing north GA and would like to stay under $300. I have looked at a discontinued Orvis Superfine, and an Orvis TLS (only because I use a 5 wt clearwater now and am familiar with Orvis rods). Any other recommendations? I hear the Sage FLI might be a good rod in that range? Probably 90% of my fishing is with weighted nymphs and dropper riggers.
Are you still carrying Orvis rods in your store?

Thanks,
Jack

HI Jack.

I would recommend you go somewhere and try casting as many rods in your price range as you can. There are some really good rods out there in the price range you're considering but there are also some dogs. $300.00, while no longer considered a high end fly rod, is still a lot of money to plunk down on a stick so you want it to be to your liking, and possibly to have a warranty. As for the Sage FLi's, those are the rods we use for our client rods and we have been very satisfied with them for several years now.

Hope this information helps.
