Date for 2007 NGTO Kid's Fsihing Day

OK. I learned from last year to check when Easter is. April 8th this year. We shoot for some time around April 15th but I see the One Fly is that Saturday and personally I and a few other NGTOers might want to go to that.

I'm thinking April 22nd right now if I can get everybody involved. Have to check with Roswell, Bill Couch, Steve Scruggs to finalize.

Invariably, it is the week of the Tailwater work project at Smith's. Huntfish, do you have a date scheduled for that? Anything else trout related (or not) going on that weekend?

The Tailwater event is alwayes scheduled for the following Saturday after Tax day. So, yes, it is planned and will be done on Sat. 22 April 2007.

BTW, Nathan has actually caught more trout and fish than I have this past year, Am I jealous? Heck NO! I'm as happy as a Redneck :drunk: finding a case of Budweiser! :D

AAhhh...You were too slow in responding so I went to the TU web site and saw the conflict with the Tailwater Work project. So I wanted to bump it to the 28th. But Steve Scruggs was already booked for that day. And even though he is not fishing related, the kids (and the not so young kids) really like his "Let's Get Wild" show.

Soooo..., either the 14th on the same day as the One Fly with Steve Scruggs or the 28th without "Let's Get Wild".

At the frost bite I threw out the problem to those in attendance and the decision was that due to the fact the folks that usually volunteer for the KFD wouldn't probably be that inclined to fish the ONE FLY and because the kids like Steve Scrugg's "Let's Get Wild" show, we will have the Kid's Fishing Day on April 14th.

We have an OK from the City of Roswell, Steve Scrugg's, an announcement to the Rowing Club, but I forgot to check with Bill Couch.

So...pending an OK from Bill Couch on Monday when he gets back it should be APRIL 14th. Cross your fingers. If it conflicts with anything else, please don't tell me.

As I said, scheduling these things makes my head hurt.;)

I've been waiting on a final return call confirmation from several voice mails I've left to Steve Scruggs. I'm a bit concerned but I'll send out the announcement hopefully with a pdf of the brouchure. If something goes wrong with Steve, we'll simply do without.

Roswell Parks Summer Brochure came out yesterday and it has the published date as 4/15. You may want to have them post a flyer at the Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park.
