I guess I wanted an expert to tell me how bad I stink, well I wanted an expert to help me get over this plateau I feel I have come to in my casting skills. What else is there to learn? So this morning to made the drive to La Grange to meet our own Kent E, and I found out I still have a long way to go. I had a good time this morning as we attempted to try and tame my casting. I was humbled by how easy Kent makes the difficult (and easy) look, and I really enjoyed learning some of his interesting techiniques that I would have never thought of. I learned a lot and can't wait to get out on the water to try some of this out... Especially that last thing we were working on, as well as throwing the mend. I had a great time and hopefully some of his advice will sink in. I'm going to try to get some practice in here and there to reinforce what we discussed, and hopefully make it automatic. Thanks again for the casting secrets/advice/lessons, the good conversation, the jokes, and for the recommendation on the delicious BBQ. Kent you are a great fly-caster, an excellent teacher, and a gentleman to boot. Thanks again for meeting me this morning.

Bryan, Kent is very good, very knowledgeable (sp?). He is easy to fish with and learn from. Even if you were bad, and I'll bet you weren't, my guess is you would never know Kent felt that way.

How was the wind?

Who put the 5 stars up? LOL

yeah, if I was terrible, he didn't tell me...LOL. I had a blast. Super cool guy.

Wind was gusty at times and at others it was dead calm. Made things even more "fun" at times. Just like while fishing.
