Would anyone feeling generous please send me an email or PM about the following? For everyone's sanity and in an attempt to keep firestorms to a minimum....no need to post it here.
I am planning a 4-5 night trip in early May to the Smokies with my dad who is driving down from WV for one last hurrah before I move out west in a couple weeks (so your secrets will leave with me) and he wants to check out Hazel. Ive done a ton of research and know it gets alot of pressure, has tons of snakes and bears, etc...but conisider me a lost cause. My real question is what would you recommend we do with our remaining days? Should we head to the streams to the west of the east? I don't think we'll have time for both.
We are very low-impact and make sure we leave the area better than we found it, etc. We are not afraid of lenghty hikes, and are looking for a variety of water. Ive scoured the books out there but any info would be greatly appreciated.
