We had 25 volunteers show up today for the Smith Creek Work Day. We will be having 25 volunteers sleeping very easily tonight. Moved alot of logs and set one heck of a new habitat for the fish. In fact, it was already broken in by the Preacher. Looks great. Originally planned for one major project. Completed 4 projects today! Put a big slap on your back for the work today!

Myself, WRD, and Unicoi Park thanks all who participated today. Sleep well, I know I will. I'll post pictures when I recieve them.

Again,
Thank YOU.

I want to say thanks too. Thanks to all who helped out, a little manpower (and ladypower) can accomplish much. Thanks to Friends of Unicoi for lunch. I was glad to see ya! Thanks to Ga DNR for providing resources, tools, manpower and an awesome creek to work on. And thanks huntfish for lining this thing up. It couldn't have been done without each one :ghug:

Thanks to everyone that was able to attend!

I caught my first trout on Smith's Creek, so it is a special place for me.

Wish I could have been there to help. but I am coaching my sons baseball team and we had a game at 1:00 pm on Saturday.

Look forward to heading back up there soon!

Thanks again,

Craig

My back's still creaking as of today.

The folks that take the time to take part in these types of projects are greatly appreciated....so much so that the veterans tend to share their small stream and brook trout stream info with them ;). It shows they are willing to give something back...or in this case sacrifice a "back".

It was good to talk to The Frosh, Chris B. and Nacoochee for the first time at length.

I didn't get a chance to talk to everybody there but I'd like to add my thanks also to all that lent a hand.

It was a lot of fun helping out on the workday.....got to help work on stream habitat for trout, meet a bunch of other trout fanatics like myself, and even learned of a few secret honey holes to top it off.

I'd also like to say thanks to Friends of Unicoi (correct me if I'm wrong here) who provided a most excellent lunch (grilled burgers and dogs). I will say that it was great to see that so many trout will have a nice new condo to call home (of course I'm not telling where  ).

Cheers,

Chris B.
