My biggest fish are sharks and sailfish but they are on polaroid so I can't post them here. Besides, I had hair then and nobody would recognize me anyway.

So here is my largest fish on a fly rod. Being a rube from Georgia I evidently violated two Alaska "given"s with this fish. The sage advice was kings in spawning colors do not strike a fly (evidently, an egg sucking leech doesn't count and we kept hooking kings accidently the whole trip). Also, if I understand correctly, Alaska etiquette in places dictates you are not supposed to target kings in spawning colors. For that one I beg forgiveness as a goober from Georgia. Besides, where we were, there wasn't anybody within 20 miles to point this out at the time.

It is a 14 foot 8/9 weight that I got in early 2006. I really haven't put it to the test on a good fish, sorry to say. I landed a 18" steelie on the Hood River, and got broke off by a nice fish on the Deschutes. It sure is fun to cast, but I can't get much action with it here. BC is obviously the place to be for serious steelheading, or the Olympic peninsula. I spent a week in the Columbia gorge this past September, and only got 2 chinook jacks to show for my efforts. 7 days, 10 rivers, big ouch. Oh well, that's fishing.
