I see all of the bumping happening and I think it's great. If you're bumping then you feel that naming of what some deem as public knowledge steams, or naming streams that in the posters mind "can take it" is wrong, or why would you be bumping it down? If you are bumping for another reason, share it, but I think that's probably it.
I think not calling all/advertising to all fisherman about one of the larger wild brookie streams in the East as important, but others see them as just another stream like the Hooch tailwater, and heck they are all in books, or public knowledge. Ok, what stream hasn't been discovered yet, is there really a undiscovered public stream out there? Some get less pressure than others, and when info is published on the world wide web (especially on a fishing website that is very large and has a really big readership) for all to read it can highlight a stream for everyone to think about hitting...turning up the pressure.
I guess that's why the bumping is occuring is some see the naming as wrong, or am I wrong?
I will say that it is dissapointing that no one would step up to the plate and voice their concern on the matter (besides chuckwagon). Yeah it's going to be a ongoing fight (but don't we have a policy now???ok, that's what I thought), and I don't think the "public knowlegde" and "discretion" guys are ever going to see eye to eye.
Bumping disapointedly down.
EDITED SINCE NUGGETS bump back to the top....
But the guy who I referred to as Idiot will just keep bumping it back up. I think that reference fit perfectly. Obvisiouly he could care less about all of the concerned bumps, and he will just bring it back to the top when we have worked it down.
Will the mods enforce their naming streams policy and remove that thread????
