have read in past threads about the effects of summer heat & low water on the souqe river...i get up that way twice a year from fl. ..this spring i observed, behind the store on the hiway, about 50 trout as long as your arm...my question is will they survive the summer and how did they get there?

Yeah, they'll survive. I'm told by a fishing buddy who attended the technical school up there that the folks at MOTP have been feeding their trout since at least the 60s. This store is a must-stop any time you're in the area, and not just for the trout. They make some really cool pottery, and every now and then out on the balcony you might catch a glimpse of anything from deer to snakes to muskrats.

Hit the right fork of the Soque today. Brought 7 to hand, one 15" and two 14". One of the 14's hit a royal tude on top and man he popped it. Lost count of the horny heads and 4 bream. Heard dogs barking and then loud crash. Deer jumped the stream almost right next to me and I bout had to change my pants.
