Congratulations Charlie and Kathy!
Charlie and Kathy Breithaupt selected co-recipients to receive the first National TU “Youth Education Leadership Award.” (8/17/2007) The award will be presented during the Annual National TU Meeting in the Grove Hotel in Boise, Idaho at the Awards Luncheon on Friday, Sept 14th. The award recognizes the fundamental importance of creating a new generation of conservationists in a manner that sustains TU's conservation legacy. The award honors individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership, and a deep passion for inspiring young people to become thoughtful, responsible stewards of North America's coldwater fisheries. The Breithaupts are certainly deserving of this national honor.

I cannot think of two people who could be more deserving of this recognition and they have my congratulations! Well Done! For those perhaps not familiar, these two launched this program in Georgia and have been not only it's guiding lights, but also the hands-on field workers who are on-camp with the kids teaching, counseling and maintaining order in the cabins!

Please pass along my message to them and tell'em 'Sage' is still waiting for them to come back!
