Evening all,
Just wanted to share another example of great customer service from Orvis in Manchester, VT. I contacted their rod shop to get build details on a Battenkill rod I had bought from another owner. They quickly responded with the info I was looking for and asked if there was anything else they could do for me. I paused a second and then told them that the label on the rod tube was completely trashed and was there any chance they could send me another one so I could make the rod tube look a little better than it did (you know us cane nuts, these things matter!).
The guy told me he would see what he could do and if he could get one there would be no charge. (remember, I did not buy this rod from Orvis, I got it second hand). I figured if I was lucky, I would get a blank label and I would have to figure out a way to hard type the data into the foil label like they do at the shop (the embossed letters almost looks like they use an old type writer to create these labels)
Well, to my delight, I arrived home today and a small package from Orvis was waiting for me. I opened it up to not only find a new Orvis bamboo rod foil label, but the shop had typed all the info onto the label for me (they had the serial number and recreated the label with the info from their database).
Just another example of great customer service from the guys up in Vermont!
