Cool, a new Forum.

The SS Minnow. She's got everything: 9.9 Merc, trolling motor with battery in front for balance, depth sounder, anchor and winch, and rod rack. For Lanier I can add 2 rod holders that attach in the oarlock mounts, a battery powered live well, and a head. That's 12 feet of lean mean fishing machine.

It catches some big fish.

Here is the flotilla, with the family on a float last summer.

Monger, what make boat is that? A 16 footer with a 15-25hp outboard with some casting decks could be awesome for certain applications. ;)

It's a Sears Gamefisher.. From like the 70's man...lol It's actually perfect for the Hooch, but gets funny looks when on Lanier ;)

Man I like being different. I don't know where to find a hull like that. A 16-17 footer in that old dory design. You could row a boat like that without much trouble at all. Run up and row down, run up and row down. Get my drift? ;) Is the boat tippy or can you stand up without much trouble?

Actually, it is a 1988 model, 12 feet long. It is pretty stable, we stand up and cast all day long. It moves along pretty quick too, and will run flat out in 16 inches of water. It also goes up some surprising whitewater chutes too, judging by some of the looks I get upriver from guys with jets.

I was born for funny looks. They get even funnier when I get double and triple striper hookups in front of center consoles that are getting skunked, right Bum? :rotfl:

Yeah, now you funny too :D

Oh your right, it was the org. motor that was from the 70's...lol

He's got the better casting platform since i'm dancing up in the Vee section, but we both stand up and cast with no problems. Well there was this one time he hooked me, but I forgive him since he fishes barbless...lol

The old Sea Horse was a 1964 9.5 horse, but if it was making 3 hp I would be surprised. Remember how slow that was? putt putt putt :bawl:

You looked good with your piercing, it was kind of tribal, I think you should have kept it. I think it was a Lightning Bug, and we all know they'll catch anything on the river, even your buddy :yikes:

Oh come on that motor is'nt old. It's got plenty of life left in it.. Just cause it's 43 years old does'nt mean it's slow and useless. Hmmm, 1964, for some reason that rings a bell with me... Cant understand why...
