Hey Guys
The new boat is here today. Outcast Pac 1400 with a few extras. Very excited! I nearly went with a hard boat, but decided on the raft. This new frame is going to kick a$$. Will post pics when I get it all put together.

IT will look just like that, except I'm putting a low profile rowing seat where I sit and I'm using my good ole Cataract oars instead of those blue monsters. (if anyone wants those oars and blades, I'm selling the set for $200 brand spanking new)

Should be a killer boat. Anytime Nu2trout, she'll need some breaking in.

I could use those oars. Oh wait, I forgot someone took my boat. Nevermind.

Yeah Jimmy. How do you think I could afford this new one. Those Hydes bring top dollar. ;-)

Where are you and I going for the maiden voyage of this awesome new boat? Remember you said me and Bill get the first float in it.

Enjoy it man, I've rowed those boats many a time when I was guiding. If you're used to a Hyde it will take some getting used to as they are much heavier but boy are they indestructable. Depending on who you will be rowing, you may want to consider taking off those leaning posts, they have a tendency to tangle line for unexperienced fly fishers. Wait until you get a couple of fat guys in that thing, then the fun really starts!

Hey James

That is awesome! It is an Aire isn't it, with Outcast being the fishing brand name? Very cool! By the way the lean posts get well used on my boat. I guess I am going to have to get smoother on the oars ! I couldn't afford an Aire/Outcast and went with a heavy duty Star Wonderbug in the end. It Ferrys really well, and I heard the Outcast is pretty quick too.

Congrats man!

Okay - now that James has a new girlfriend I am forced to buy his old one. BUt before I can do that I have to get rid of my power drifter. Practically brand new and great for the Hooch and Toccoa. If you're interested let me know

Rob,

Make sure that you are not doing a 2 for 1 deal. ::ke: Now when you get James' old one, I expect a ride on the river sometime.

Well guys, it's all together now. Ready for the river. I'm thinking this boat is the happy medium between my old hard boat and the raft I'd used for guiding for so many years. Hoping for water in the Toccoa soon!

James, I wish that I had read that eariler this week, I just bought the same oars with cataract magnum blades from frointerplay.com. My frame for that avon raft should be in next week, lets get a trip up next weekend.
