http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z233/troutguy/000_0183.jpg
recipe:
hook size: 14 mustad nymph hook
thread: olive
underbody: tan nymph blend
hackle: green dyed pheasant
shuck: white polyprolene yarn (sp)
tail: goose biot
instructions:
1. put a good thread base on
2.tie thread to bend and tie in goose biot tip
3. tie back to eye of hook and tie in the pheasant hackle. wrap back to the tail and tie off and clip exess.
4. clip off section of polyprolene yarn. tie in back a little bit behind eye.
5. wip finish and add head cement
hope you get a good idea from this fly and tight lines

Thats one "buggy looking" pattern. Add a beadhead and you've got something. PM me w/ your adress and I will send you some tieing stuff in trade for some of your "bugs". TRW

Landen,
This is the only thing that matters: That WILL catch a fish!
You'll find that as you keep tying, your stuff will look a little better and will stay together A LOT better!

And for some reason the better you tie the worse the fish bite your flies. It is true, I don't know why but it is.

Showing definite promise.
Say, you wouldn't happen to want a vise would you? I've got the old one that came with my kit years ago. She's not fancy, but holds hooks securely. I've upgraded since then and don't use her anymore.
You'll be doing me a favor if you take her off my hands. I can't justify tossing her, she's not valuable enough for the swap forum, so she's just sitting here looking forlorn and dejected. She deserves better than that. We've had some good times together, but it's time she moved on.
Send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll send her your way.

Lest you think too highly of me, my motives are not entirely altruistic. There are a couple of Dyna-King and Renzetti vises that have been making goo-goo eyes at me, and now that I'm no longer in a commited relationship, I'm free to play the field.
Plus, I get to corrupt today's youth. Pretty much a win/win.
