Easy, quick tie, and effective (especially on DH fish)

Hook 16-18 scud hook
Thread Black 8/0
Body Red Rubber band
Thorax Peacock herl
Start your thread and wrap to hook bend, tie in rubber band and advance thread 2/3 up the hook. Wrap the rubber band to thread and tie off and trim. Tie in herl, advance thread to eye. Wrap herl and tie off. Whip finish and cement.
The rubber band leaves a segmented body. This can be tied with a variety of colors
