hey, check out the article in thisisfly.com and read about the guy that fishes for giant tarpon from a tube, crazy stuff.

That guy's gonna pull up to shore one day and realize that the same hammerhead that chased his hooked tarpon also made off with one of his legs below the knee!
Sounds fun, though. Shoot, I'd sit in a pink ducky float with a squeek face if it meant catching a tarpon.

I would not sit in shark waters:eek: , but seeing big tarpon swim by your skiff is a rush in itself I cant imagine sitting in a tube and floating with them.

I caught some show on Discovery or National Geographic Channel called "Big Catch" (I think). It showed one guy fishing for Sailfish on a sit on top kayak. Talk about fun... I don't know about the tube, but it would be a blast from a kayak or a pontoon... Who knows, that fish might take you to Cuba before he gets tired...:D

The thing that gets me, is that he guarantees you'll break a rod or two fishing that way. I guess it's because you don't have the vertical mobility that you would in a flats skiff. I think the current generation of "fish bums" is really doing some creative stuff, and I like it.
