I learned this fly from Josh Barnet when I took tying lessons from him. I noticed this fly wasn't posted yet so i thought I would do it.
Hook: I'm not really sure, I got my hooks mixed up. The gap of the hook is 3 16ths of an inch and the length of the shank is 9 16ths. Can one of you guys give an estimate of what size this is?
Hackle: Small grizzly dry hackle
Body: Foam, you can get it at walmart
You tie in your foam and hackle just in front of the bend of the hook. Make sure you have a good thread base to wrap your hackle on. Wrap hackle to the eye of the hook and tie in. Next you pull your foam to the eye of the hook and tie in. Make a few wraps in front of were you tied in the foam so it will stand up. Tie off your knot and apply cement to the top of the foam so it will harden. This can be tied in many sizes and colors.
