i finally got it on the water on saturday...one of the greatest christmas presents ever from my fiance(or anybody for that fact)...my CREEK COMPANY CLASSIC...this thing is great...i cant wait to get it back on the water...the only thing i made the mistake of leaving my pump back up in the car...and the air in the bladders shrank due to the cold water...but thats ok...oh yeah...which way do you think is better to transport...on the back its held on by two straps from the top and one on the bottom

Top carry is probably the best method. How did it handle? Did you have it on moving water or still? Mine is put together but can't hit the water until Wednesday.

I say on the roof would be best.

On Saturday, I set mine up and as soon as I did an Otter showed some interest. Curious little creatures.

Slow Streamer, did yours ever get here or have you gotten a conrimation number to track it?

How feasible is it to inflate the toons, and put the frame together, throw everything in the back of the SUV and then attach everything at the river?
would it be better to put the frame together and then inflate the toons when I get to the river. I am not sure my SUV will hold two 9 foot toons, so scratch that but what about the other question about the frame being put together?

I know I will get quicker as I work with it, I am just trying to maximize my time and figure out how much time I will need to get set up so I dont take away from fishing time.

for me it was quicker to put everything together and then load it on top of my car...but i was able to but the frame together and put it in my element tilted in there...i would try both ways...what kind of suv do you have...i might have a yakima roof rack i could sell you..:D

I do not need a roof rack, as I think the one my car comes with will suffice. I drive an Envoy. I may be able to put the frame together and then lay it in the back.
I will see tonight, hopefully.

The dual action pumps that you have (or should have ;) ) can pump up those toons in seconds. What I do is break the frame down as much as needed to get it to fit inside my 4runner. Then I let out enough air to fold the toons and squeeze them in there. So once I arrive, I can have it all put together in about 6-8min.. Course throwing it in back of Fishmongers truck is MUCH easier, but sometimes I must go it alone...lol As far as putting it on top of the 4runner, I could'nt do that by myself if I tried without scratching up alot of paint.. Besides I break it down once I have it in the garage for space..
