What a gorgeous day on Duke's yesterday! I hit Duke's with my brother and we were rewarded with an awesome day. My first fish of the day came within five minutes of being in the water and it was a beautiful 19" female. :) We both looked at each other and said it was going to be a great day, we just did not know how good. Within 30 minutes he had his first fish and the skunk was out of there. By the end of the day we had brought 49 fish to hand with all but 14 of them being 15 inches or better. My best of the day was 20" and my brothers was 22".

Wow, seems like Dukes is doing good right now. I think that was the best day anyone has reported on Dukes in at least 6 months.

Wow, incredible day.
If I may offer a bit of critique: It's best to just cradle your fish with wet hands for the pics, fingers in gills or mouth, or wool gloves, are very hard on trout.
Congrats!

Yeah monger, I agree. Those fish probably went belly up if they were "gilled". That's like sticking your hands in their lungs. I dont think they can recover from that. That is WAY worse than a barbed hook ever thought about being IMHO.

Hopefully only a few fish were handled that way, :cross: but that's 2 goners for sure.
