Headed up north tomorrow to do a little exploring on the Chattooga, to a little place I know about. Its gonna be cold, real, cold, like really really cold (did I get the cold part across well? haha) Anyways, not doing this necessarily to catch fish, just catching cabin fever, and well I just really really want to use that Superfine 4wt rod that I just got (its sweet, and I'm quite proud of it:) .But anyways, just hoping for a beautiful trip in this secret place of mine and maybe a few wild trout.

Tight Lines,
Joshua

p.s-I'll post a report later, for those who are interested, I just request that you email me or send me a private message for the report since this is a rather secretive spot that few know about.

Do yourself an extra favor and be extremely careful, not only on icy rocks, but with the end of your rod. Temps below zero can cause the tip-top section of flyrods to freeze solid, hence they break, rather than bend wend pressure is applied. I managed to snap the tip off a 5wt on the Toccoa DH last year on a below-freezing day. Just food for thought, walk slowly, cast lightly, cut the line instead of trying to pull out a snag
