I looked at a picture of a real Caddis and came up with this.

Hook: TMC 103BL,sz# 17, factory barbless, black wide gap
Thread: black uni-thread 8/o (or to match color of hackle)
Body: super bright black
Wing: black elk hair
Hackle: Whiting 100's black

1. Start thread and wrap to the hook point.
2. Tie in hackle.
3. Tie in dubbing and wrap forward to 3/5ths hook shank.
4. Wrap hackle to the same length and tie off.
5. Stack elk hair and tie in to desired length.
6. Trim excess.
7. Pull two elk hair fibers forward for antennas.
8. Whip finish and cement.

I've been doing a lot of these cause thats what should be hatching real soon up on the Toccoa, but I'll give the tan ones a shot, I'll let you know how they turn out.
