Noontootla advice

Does anyone have any advice they would be willing to share on this stream for this time of the year it would be greatly appreciated, I've heard its tough but want to give it a shot even if it is just to appreciate the scenery BTW I fish barbless and C&R.

Tough time of the year, but throw an egg pattern...even a y2k will draw some interest. Sounds strange to most since these are wild trout, but it works.

Please be sensitive with any replys or reports that you may have after your trip. This is a stream that is near and dear to me and it receives way too much press on this board...mostly lies and mostly pics from the NTF portion of the stream. It is a sweet place that has suffered in the past 3 years from too much traffic and disrespect. Use a 1wt or a 2wt and enjoy those little 8" jewels that reside there.

Here's some advice for the 'Toot. Be very careful stepping over logs. It was a year ago this month that the wifey did this to her ankle. She still isn't back 100%.

I did fish it today and It was worth every second to see that beautiful scenery up there. Its a wonderful place of solitude
