Public Soque

I'm thinking about heading up to the public section of the Soque tomorrow. I know, I know, it's very last minute...but if any of you guys have feedback (particularly: Is it worth it? What works? Anything else nearby we can fish once we cover the 3/4 mile?) would be VERY appreciated!

I fished the public section one day last weekend and saw one guy that had a 15"er on a stringer. I fished for about and hour and a half and hooked a 20"er that broke me off when I tried to grab him!

My advice is to glass the water very good before entering the stream, with the rain we have had the water is up alittle and the fishing should be good this weekend. Focus on the faster water and make sure you get the fly down!!!

Thanks for the advice, guys. We had a really good time on that stretch of water. Nice fish and pretty landscape, that trail is tight though, and there were a lot people out with a pretty good mix of spinners and fly-fishers. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with the fish but I'll definitely be going back.
