Please advise this newbee.

Thanks Keydog....I went that Saturday for a few hours and only caught one. It was on the first cast with a Y2K. Didn't get another one. Tried to float a dry for about 30 minutes and missed one.
Is that stretch usually pretty productive? Do you ever catch nice sized ones there?
Thanks,

The NGTO/TU/DNR Bucket Brigade will be doing a stocking up there next week, I think. The Ami should be good and ready by then. Check out the "Events" forum and you'll see a link to the stocking date.

King Fisher,
And anybody else new to fishing the Ami DH. This has been kind of a different year on the Ami. due to some legeal issues with access to the middle stocking spots, stocking only occurred at the Steele Bridge pool and the 53 bridge. And only by truck. Unless the fish want to climb the small fall just up stream of the handicapped pad or leave the friendly confines of that deep hole by the Steele Bridge, they won't spread out into the middle reaches of the DH too much.
So those fish around the 53 bridge have been fished pretty hard and by this time are extremely wary. But they are there.
