Fished from about noon till dark. Lots of big fish every where, but they have been hit hard. I watched a pod of trout move out of the way for a 24 olive wd40 dropped off the back of a 20 bwo on 7x floro!!! But ended up with 10, a few on a 18 black he, and the rest right at dark on a bwo. A great day though to break in my new 4' 2wt boo, it casts like a dream and makes a 10" bow feel like a 10 pounder. I can't wait to go chase some brookies with it.

how do you get to smiths creek i will be coming from canton GA

Mapquest to Unicoi State Park in Helen, Ga. Smiths Creek is in the park. Check in at the lodge beofre hitting the stream. Good luck!

After going through Hellen on 75, turn right onto 356 at Robertstown and follow the signs to Unicoi State Park. After crossing the dam make a right and go to the lodge to sign in. They can give you directions from there but you will go back to the main road and turn right, about half a mile you'll make a right onto the road (there will be a sign for day use area) that will take you to the parking area.
