This is my entry for the Bream Bugs fly Swap. I bet it would be good for trout too.
Hook: 2X #14 nymph
Bead: (Optional) glass craft store bead
Thread: 8/0 black
Tag: med red holo tinsel
Rib: small Gold ultra wire
Body: Peacock herl
soft hackle: Brown hen
place bead on hook (optional)
start thread near middle of hook and tie in tinsel
wrap tag and tie down toward the middle of the shank
trim off excess tinsel
tie in wire and tie in 3 strands of peacock herl
wrap the shank with the twisted stands of herl and tie in behind the bead.
Counter wrap with the wire and tie in behind the bead
Strip one side of the hen hackle and tie in by the tip
make 2 -3 turns of the hackle and tie in.
Whip finish and apply head cement.
Take picture of those tasty slabs and post the pictures on the board.
