Muddy creek

Decided to give it another try today. On stream at about 1PM. Went in for some natives but came up short. Believe with all the rain we have had this week the fish have their bellies full. I did have several opportunites to hook up using a dry fly but was unable to get any fish to hand. Caught one small rainbow on a 18 PT.

Coming back out and into the main stream, decided to hit two good holes. Tied on a big brown stone and fished the first hole - nothing. Went to the second hole and hooked up with this fish.


Here's the action shot. Took it because I left my net and figured it would get off before landing it.

This rascal had some huge teeth. Here's a pic of my sore thumb (I never seem to have my net with me at the right time).

Nice brown and it put a nice bend in my little 3 wt. And he was released to play again.

Here are some other photos of Dink and I on an outing from this past Saturday. One of the streams we went to neither of us had been to. We went in for about 1/2 to 3/4 mi hike down hill to get to this stream.

Let me tell ya wild brownies are awesome! I went on a trip with speck at * creek and got two triple crowns in one day!:D And all the fish were wild on top of that! There was one wild brownie that was a at least a 15 incher that followed my worm to the bank! SPECK WE NEED TO GO FISHING!!!!!!!!! (where is the smillie that is drooling out of his mind?)
