Hyde Drift boat on eBay

FYI, Wilder Outdoors has put a Hyde Drift boat (Contender model) on
eBay.com.


This is a no-reserve price auction for the all-fiberglass Contender (white-w-red stripe). This is one of our last stock of 2007 boats that we are clearing out. Someone out there should get a good deal on the boat, but we'd rather have it going to one of you guys.

There boats are usually under ebay motors. Just do a search on "drift boat" and it should come up. A friend of mine just bought that same Contender from a guy in Signal Mtn and it is a sweet ride on the Caney Fork in Middle TN.

So why did E-bay cancel the Auction? Did it sell locally?

They've been doing that a lot recently (canceling auctions that is). Seems peoples accounts are getting hacked and fraudulent bids are being placed. Kind of a bummer. Not sure about this particular auction but a fellow on another board has been trying to sell a bamboo rod of his and twice now the auction has been canceled. Last time the rod got up to over 800 and then ebay canceled the auction (he was bummed to say the least).

The Hyde Drift Boat (Contender) is now listed again on Ebay. Evidently you can't say that you charge a surcharge (3%) for using PayPal or credit cards. You can say that you offer a cash discount though, but that just confuses people.

We relisted the auction again yesterday, and you can find the listing at http://motors.shop.ebay.com/_Other-Boats__hyde-drift-boat_W0QQ_nkwZhydeQ20driftQ20boatQQ_fxdZ1QQ_ptasZ1 . You can also see the boat at our store. If I can, I'll bring the boat to Spring Fling to let everyone see. Someone will end up getting a good deal on this boat!

We had to close our eBay account before as well due to some "hackers" or someone else getting in to our accounts. It's a pain in the butt because most of the time it's easier to just shut down the account that's been "hacked" and open up a new eBay account. When you open up a new account, you lose your customer comments, etc.

I like counter balanced oars myself, and of course, someone to row the blame thing. Other than that, it appears to be ready to go:)

Does the "Contender" have the new bottom (UHMW)on it? In this part of the country,
that should be mandatory.

All Hyde boats have lifetime warranties on the hulls, regardless of the designation. (If you have any questions, send me an email and I will give you Steve and LeMoine Hyde's contact info in case I can't answer your questions).

The boat is currently bid up to $3,960 as of this morning, and there are 4 more days left on the auction. (The bid is still WELL below our dealer cost on the boat).

For all of you local guys, the boat is out in front of the store if you're interested.
