Well I got out today and fished a blueline that I haven't visited in a while. Water levels were perfect, and the bug activity was the most I've ever seen there. However, although the bugs were hatching and fluttering; caddis, BWO's, stoneflies, and the long awaited Quill Gordons, the fish didn't seem to take much notice on the surface. So I figured "Safe Bug Creek" was a good name for this stream today, atleast for the time being. I think we're still a coupla weeks away from the killer spring fishing with dries. All my fish came on nymphs. I probably could have caught more fish if I hadn't been so determined to fish dry flies. It was hard not to fish a dry with the Quill Gordons and BWOs popping off. Plus, I found out I was fishing behind somebody too. Oh well.

This is one of the prettiest brown trout I've ever caught. Simply stunning.
