Chandeleur Islands

Going with some friends to the Chandeleur Islands for 2 /2 days later this month. Supposed to be awesome fishing for Reds , speckled trout , and who knows what else ?
I plan on taking my flyrod along with a spin outfit.
Definitely prefer to flyfish . I have a few clousers and poppers , but I need to buy some more flys. Does anyone have some advice as to what to take ?
We have been advised as to tackle for our spin rigs , but not for flyrods. The other guys will all be spin fishing.

Perhaps that question could be more thoroughly answered on the laflyfish.com forum. Speck fishing from the beach on the islands should be good around that time. Chartreuse and white clousers will do the trick - bring lots of these.

Stimulator,
I'm a regular to the Louisiana marsh and love to fly fish for reds.

My suggestions: bunny flies, spoon flies, and a mylar fly that I call the bayou bengal. If you will email me, I'll send you pics of these flies.
