I am seriously considering purchasing a Mokai Jet powered kayak. I know this is blasphemy to some, but I am looking for feedback from people who have seen them or own one.

The good, the bad, the ugly, wanting as much info as I can get.

Thanks!

"Fair Weather Fisherman" (Mike Werner) here on the board has a Mokai. He has had it a couple of years and uses it on the Hooch. He brought it to one of the Flings a while back. Maybe he will weigh in on it here. You can do a search on Mokai and prob find past posts about it.

Wear ear plugs!!!! Cant flyfish from them very well, have to get out. Best used just getting from shoal to shoal. They can go just about anywhere from what I have seen. Knottrying has a friend who has one and i've seen them both use it many times.

You will be the loudest person on the river for sure ;)

I love mine. Send me a PM with any questions you might have. Very economical to operate. I've got several boats, and whenever possible the Mokai is my first choice.
