Went by Academy Sports the other evening to pick up a Pelican sit on top kayak. After mulling over what I wanted to do with it and the amount of wetness and not so fond reviews about the Pelican I ended up with the Heritage sit in fishing kayak. Took it down to the pond on a windy evening and it did great. Plenty of room for me and my gear with a large and wide opening for fishing comfort. With school about to be out I hope it will get plenty of use.

Nice ride! Betcha it'll help you catch a bunch of fish. Just wait 'til one pulls you around! :D

You might also want to invest in a hand held pump for pumping out your yak if you get a little to much water in it and don't want to pull over to the bank to dump it out.

I picked up the safety kit for it and a hand bilge pump is in there. It's the one thing I figured I'd need and use over the other included items. Now all I need is the 1/2 skirt for a stripping apron. And a few other choice accessories:D
